At Nina MUA, we enjoy teaching people who want to know how to do what we are doing - whether it is hair or makeup. We have spent a great deal of time working with all different types of looks, styles, skin, hair and products. While reading news and information about this industry is certainly helpful, the best way to learn is to practice, practice, practice and to listen. It is important to learn from your mistakes and to improve on them. We will make sure to answer any questions our clients might have and to keep them informed as to what we are using and how we are using it – our clients should leave feeling confident that they will be able to recreate a look that they love.

We understand that it is vital to listen to and understand your clients’ wants and needs. Our clients want to look beautiful but it is the stylist’s job to make them feel beautiful, too, and happy and confident. We know that each and every single client is unique and it is important to try and get a feel for their personality. It is important for the stylist and client to be on the same page; the best way this is achieved is through open, consistent communication. Magazine photos can be helpful in ensuring that the client and stylist are on the same page when it comes to the client’s desires – for instance, if you have a particular style in mind, have a photo on-hand when you go to see your stylist.
