Biography
My first video 020102 was created as an extention of my paintings. I wanted to capture pigments moving across a surface. This initial project began others, including: Pictures at an Exhibition; She Sank My Battleship (with Walk Through Walls); Birdeye (LUMCON); Hector & Pandora.
My most recent project has been focused on experimental video compositions using algorithms that translate audio outputs to figurative range of motion in 3D. This work is called Audio Spectrum Revolver and features noted Slam Poets: Anis Mojgani, Derrick Brown, Dan Leaman, Mike McGee and Buddy Wakefield.
Joseph P. Sweeney and I created Shared Studios in New Orleans in 2003. This past year we have also been working on music videos for Ahleuchatistas and Songmason.
For the past two years my primary equipment has been a Canon XL H1, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro and the Apple Powerbook G4.
Many of my video pieces are influenced by series of paintings/wall assemblages.
My main interest is with customized video projections/installations of visuals that allow a reflective experience for the viewer.
