Carbohydrates are one of the most important nutrients and the one needed in a large amount by our body. About 45 to 65 percent of the calories are taken by us from carbohydrates. Basically, carbohydrates are known for weight gain. Carbohydrates are necessary for our body to function well. Each person must have carbohydrates in his/her diet. Carbohydrates perform a vital role in providing us energy for different activities, for the brain to function and for organ system to perform its tasks. Carbohydrates are present in fruits, vegetables, bread, cereals etc.
Carbohydrates are often called sugar. We take sugar in the form of glucose from different elements. Fruits and vegetables also contain simple sugar. Taking the excess amount of carbohydrates is also not good so choose carbohydrates wisely. Eat them in an average amount because excessive use of carbohydrates can cause a rapid increase in your weight.
Protein gives us energy to do all the activities we do normally. Proteins are the most important need of our body. All needs of energy are fulfilled by proteins. Almost every one of us is having proteins in form or the other. Most of the eatable are available having rich proteins. But besides providing energy, taking excess amount of proteins can be harmful to our body. It can cause many health issues. Taking more than the required amount of protein can cause kidney diseases.

Eating meat in large quantity can prove dangerous so, try to find alternate of meat. A variety of plant-based proteins sources are also available.
