how to change the priority of wireless networks in windows

Posted on at

If you have 2 or more Wireless networks in your area how dose windows select one to connect into it?

windows has a priority list that select wireless networks from it

in this post i will show you how to see this list and how to change priority of wireless networks

to see priority list open Command line (go to RUN type cmd press ok)

then type :

netsh wlan show profiles

into CMD, it will show all wireless networks that you connected before

To change priority of a net work use this command (for example we want to change priority of "ITCHADMIN1" )

netsh wlan set profileorder name=”ITCHADMIN1” interface=”Wi-Fi” priority=1

this will change priority of ITCHADMIN1 to the first
