Long Live Phillip Seymour Hoffman! "A Most Wanted Man" Movie Is A Film To Watch

Posted on at

t's a tragedy that Phillip Seymour Hoffman, a talented actor who has graced films for a long time, passed away not too long ago. Who knows how many memorable films he would have made. Thankfully, he made one more film "A Most Wanted Man," a spy caper that makes good use of his acting chops as a spy boss.

He leads a small team on the hunt for a quiet and heavily bearded man suspected of being a terrorist, or is he? He is Muslim and apparently devout and shielded by a family. Enter Rachel McAdams as the young, social activist lawyer who wants to hide the bearded man and give him access to lots of cash. Since I am no scene spoiler, I don't want to give away any more of the plot, because the action will leave you speechless with anticipation.

The movie is tense, scenic and meant to be seen on the big screen. If you happen to end up watching it on television later, the first part of the movie may make you nod off --just a bit. But on the whole, you will enjoy the atmosphere of the city of Hamburg, which is beautiful in a quiet, elegant  way. You will also enjoy the presences screen legends Willem Dafoe as the banker caught in the midst of the money scheme and Robin Wright as the American agent who wants to see justice done in her own way.
