Superman (a.k.a. The Mad Scientist)

Superman escapes from his home planet Krypton and arrives on Earth via a rocket ship. He is then quickly placed in an orphanage. As he grows up, he develops amazing skills, like running faster than a train and jumping higher than the tallest building. He becomes the Man of Steel but has to hide behind a character, Clark Kent, a newspaper reporter. His chief puts him on a mission, along with reporter Lois Lane, to find the Mad Scientist.

Superman is the first in the series of seventeen animated Technicolor short films based upon the DC Comics character Superman. Also known as The Mad Scientist, Superman was produced by Fleischer Studios and released to theaters by Paramount Pictures on September 26, 1941.
